Regians Attend 2026 Arrupe Leaders Summit
Six Regis juniors attended the 2026 Arrupe Leaders Summit in North East, Md., last weekend. Sponsored by the Ignatian Solidarity Network, the summit invites emerging student leaders from high schools and parishes nationwide to deepen their understanding of "a faith that does justice."
Throughout the weekend, students explored leadership practices through the lens of Rev. Pedro Arrupe, SJ's life. Fr. Arrupe, a former Superior General of the Society of Jesus, was known for his commitment to serving those in need, as well as for recognizing the importance of social justice in one's faith.
During the program, students participated in sessions to grow as leaders around social justice in their schools. Attendees participated in group conversations, activities, and individual reflections, and they collaborated with peers from around the country to share ideas on social justice programming.
